Consent Choices For Visitors In Certain Regions
We use Google’s Privacy & messaging consent management platform for a European regulations message intended for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
When displayed, the message offers Consent, Do not consent, and Manage options. You can accept the requested purposes, decline consent, or review purpose and vendor choices before confirming them. The options also identify processing based on a vendor’s claimed legitimate interest and provide controls for applicable objections. A preference cookie records your choices.
Depending on your choices and the applicable settings, you may see personalized ads, non-personalized ads, limited ads, or fewer ads.
You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing based on that consent. For assistance changing or withdrawing a choice, contact us using the details below. Browser controls and Google’s advertising settings provide additional controls, but do not themselves withdraw all consent previously given to the Site or its partners.
Analytics And Site Performance
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand visits and improve our content. GA4 collects information such as page views, referral sources, browser and device details, approximate location, engagement, and browser or session identifiers. Its first-party cookies include _ga and _ga_D1KESTZZG9.
Google processes Analytics data to provide measurement services to us. According to Google, GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses, although an IP address is received during communication and used to derive approximate location. Cookie identifiers and interaction data may still constitute personal data; this is not a promise that Analytics data is anonymous.
For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, our Google tags are configured with initial denied consent settings for analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization before GA4 starts. Google’s consent management platform then updates these settings according to your choices. This regional configuration does not apply the same initial restrictions to every visitor worldwide.
Google Consent Mode communicates consent choices to Google tags. It is separate from the consent message itself. When configured in an advanced mode, it can allow cookieless measurement requests even when analytics storage is denied; declining cookies does not necessarily mean no information is sent to Google.

How Information May Be Shared
Information may be processed by providers that help us operate the Site, including hosting, analytics, advertising, and spam-prevention services.
Our comment form includes Akismet spam checking. Comment information may be processed by Automattic’s Akismet service to identify spam. Depending on its configuration, this can include the comment and submitted details, IP address, browser user agent, referring page, and Site URL. The Site also loads fonts from Google servers, which receive the technical information needed to respond to a browser request. Links to external websites lead to services with their own privacy practices.
