• AI Art Generators Face a Copyright Infringement Lawsuit From Artists

A group of artists is suing Midjourney, Stability AI, and DeviantArt, the companies behind some of the most popular AI art tools out there, for having “violated the rights of millions of artists” by using billions of internet images to train their AI art tools without the consent of artists and without compensating any of them.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Isn’t AI art just a bunch of algorithms and code?” And to that, I say, you are not wrong.…

  • Is AI Art Bad for Artists and Creators?

I hated my university’s slogan. It was something along the lines of “Thinkers. Leaders. Doers.” It just rubbed my brain’s edges in all the wrong ways.

Blegh. I’ve never been a doer. I’ve definitely been a thinker, though. Some might even call it chronic. “What are you thinking about?” is a phrase I’ll hear at least thrice a week. Sometimes even when I don’t leave my cave. Although those moments have the mirror worrying a bit more than usual.

On a recent trip with friends, I confessed I had been thinking about where to park before we even left 2 hours prior.…

  • Midjourney: How to Use Bot Commands, Settings, and Features

Midjourney is a fantastic AI art generator I’ve been using for almost half a year. Since the beginning, I have been extremely impressed. While it didn’t quite stand up to DALL-E or some versions of Stable Diffusion, it was an open beta and you could use the images commercially if you wished to. But since then, they’ve come out with version 3 and more recently, version 4 of Midjourney, which has blown my socks off.

In all honesty, I can’t wait for Midjourney’s version 4 (which you can see in the “/settings” denoted as “MJ4”) to be finished with its beta, as I have a lot of silly plans to use the added features in the future.…

  • How to Fix Midjourney Errors

“Errors are not in the art but in the artificers.” — Isaac Newton

If you’re here, you must be having problems with the amazing AI art generator software called Midjourney. I’ve pumped out over 3,000 images with the amazing tool in the past half year and am absolutely loving it. But if you’re familiar with the software, it still has a long way to go. I do have to hand it to them, though, with just a small team they’ve accomplished an astounding feat with Midjourney.…

  • The Future of Autonomous Vehicles in 2030 and Beyond

When will self-driving cars be truly ready for the public?

“When I put my 2 kids in there without me” — Aicha Evans, CEO of Zoox

Over the past few years, self-driving cars (also called AV for automated vehicles) have become a hot topic.

Because if they can get the technology right — and it’s looking like they will soonish — the AV industry has the potential to upheave many aspects of our daily life.

And I don’t say that last sentence lightly.…
